Miniature Pinscher Purchase Contract

Seller agrees the above puppy to the initial buyer only as shown on this document. Guarantees are non-transferrable.
If puppy possession or ownership changes at any time this contract and all guarantees become invalid, releasing the seller of any future obligations of any kind toward above stated puppy.

REGISTRATION:                 
The puppy above can be registered with AHMPC (American Harlequin Miniature Pinscher Club), and/or AKC (American Kennel Club), registration certificate is given to buyer upon pickup or payment in full. Buyer is responsible for completing the certificate and return to the registry with appropriate fees for the puppy to be registered in their name and receive the puppy’s registration certificate. There is a fee to replace the certificate should it be misplaced.
 
GENERAL HEALTH GUARANTEE:
The puppy above is guaranteed to be in good health 10 days from the date buyer receives the puppy of any issues listed on the seller's initial veterinary health report.
Seller cannot be held accountable for certain conditions they cannot control once the puppy leaves their care. Seller guarantees the puppy above for 10 days against parvo, distemper, coccidia, gardina, and other internal parasites.
The puppy above will have received all appropriate vaccinations and parasite treatments for its age at departure from seller, and a vaccination/parasite treatment report will be provided to buyer upon receipt.
Seller does not guarantee against conditions listed brought on by stress or environmental changes including but not limited to hypoglycemia, diarrhea, stress induced alopecia, cold/heat related issue, physical or environmental stress.
To activate the guarantee, the buyer must have had the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receipt (not including Sundays or holidays). If the veterinarian finds the puppy to be ill or unsuitable, seller must be notified immediately with the veterinarian’s complete contact information.
If the seller confirms with the veterinarian that the puppy’s illness or unsuitability is direct fault of the seller:
1) Puppy may be returned along with written report from the veterinarian complete with business letterhead to seller for replacement of puppy of equal value when one comes available, or a full refund of the puppy price. This does not include shipping charges, transfer fees, health certificate, crate, puppy starter pack, or microchip costs. Seller will pay half of the puppy returned travel fees. Seller is not responsible for veterinarian fees.
2) Buyer may elect to keep the above puppy and seller pay the puppy’s veterinarian fees and medication costs up to and not to exceed the price of the puppy minus shipping charges, transfer fees, health certificate, crate, puppy starter pack, and microchip costs. Seller must receive complete veterinary documents and a detailed invoice on business letterhead and a full description of puppy including microchip number, specific markings, eye color, and weight.
**Internal parasites can be managed by medication and does not merit a puppy return to seller. Seller will pay for the puppy’s medication (seller is not responsible for veterinarian's fees) if the buyer has had the puppy 14 days or less. Buyer must send seller a photocopy of the veterinarian’s invoice.  
**SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACQUIRE A SECOND LICENSED VETERNARIAN OPINION AT SELLERS REQUEST AND EXPENSE**
THIS CONTRACT IS NULL AND VOID IF THE BUYER REFUSES TO AQUIRE A SECOND OPINION AT THE SELLERS REQUEST.
 
LIFETIME GENETIC HEALTH GUARANTEE:
The puppy listed above is guaranteed for life from any testable life threatening congenital or hereditary disorders including MPS VI, PLL, DM, and Cystinuria.
If the veterinarian finds the puppy/dog to have any of these life-threatening disorders the seller must be notified immediately with the veterinarian’s complete contact information.
For the disease to be life-threatening the animal must have 2 copies of the disease.
We do everything humanly possible to ensure our puppies get off to the best start and have a healthy longevity.
There are however some issues that can be acquired/inherited, there are no genetic tests that can accurately diagnose if a puppy/dog will develop these conditions, and we cannot guarantee our puppies against.
Most are not life-threatening and can be managed with proper medical intervention. Buyer agrees that the seller has explained these conditions to them completely and agrees to release the seller of all responsibilities if one the conditions arise.
Color Dilute Alopecia (CDA) and Black Hair Follicle Dysplasia (BHFD): We guarantee that our adult dogs have a full coat and do not have any symptoms associated with these disorders. 
Retained Teeth: Is a quite common issue in small breeds and can be managed early with a vet visit. 
Retained Testicals (Male): We guarantee that our adult males have both fully descended testicals. 
Vaginal Inpuplasia/Hyperplasia (Females): We guarantee our adult females do not have/had either of these conditions. Our puppies are examined 7-8 weeks of age and found to have normal appearing vulva. 
Structural Abnormalities (Including hips & elbows): We guarantee that our adult dogs are sound and have no structural abnormalities. Our puppies are examined 7-8 weeks of age and found to have normal appearing hips and elbows. 
There are however a few known issues that could be life-threatening if not accurately diagnosed/managed with medical intervention.
Autoimmune Disorders of the skin, eyes, brain, kidneys, joints, bone marrow, or blood.
Probable causes can include genetics, cancer, tick borne disease, medication, or vaccine side-effects.
We guarantee that none of our adult dogs have/had any autoimmune disorders.
Vaccinations: **If a pup receives more than the 3-4 vaccine treatments (including breeder administered) recommended then the buyer agrees to release the seller of all responsibilities if an autoimmune disorder or any other condition arises.
Lepto Vaccine has been known to cause severe allergic reactions in young pups. Including but not limited to facial swelling, difficulty breathing, hives, swelling at injection site, and seizures.
** If you do live in a high-risk area and elect to give your puppy the vaccine, please have the veterinarian administer after 16 weeks of age and on a different visit than that of their routine vaccinations to minimize allergic reactions.
**Seller is not to be held responsible for adverse reactions or complications suspected to have arisen from receiving the Lepto virus vaccine. 
Epilepsy Neurological Issues: there are too many factors to list that can cause Epilepsy/Neurological issues in puppies/dogs. We guarantee that our adult dogs do not and have not had any neurological issues or seizures. 

If the seller confirms with the buyer’s veterinarian that a puppy has a life-threatening or congenital defect that was undiscovered before a puppy was released to the buyer:
1) Puppy/dog may be returned (microchip extracted by a vet if animal is expired) along with a written report from the licensed veterinarian complete on business letterhead with the puppy's complete description, including microchip number to seller for a full refund or replacement puppy of equal value when one comes available by the seller. Minus shipping, transfer fees, health certificate, crate, transport fees, puppy starter pack, and microchip costs. 
a. Seller is not responsible for veterinarian fees or medication costs. Seller will pay half of puppy’s return travel fees. Seller will remit a full refund (if requested) within 30 days of said puppy or microchip being returned.
b. Replacement puppy of equal value will be guaranteed for 1 year unless buyer selects a different puppy of greater/lesser value. Seller will refund a fair amount should a puppy of lesser value be selected. If buyer selects a puppy of greater value buyer must pay the difference.
2) Buyer elects to keep the above puppy and seller pays veterinarian fees up to and not to exceed the price of the puppy. Minus shipping, transfer fees, health certificate, crate, transport fees, puppy starter pack, and microchip costs. Puppy’s complete description including microchip number, must be included in the report.
**SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACQUIRE A SECOND LICENSED VETERNARIAN OPINION AT SELLERS REQUEST AND EXPENSE**
THIS CONTRACT IS NULL AND VOID IF THE BUYER REFUSES TO AQUIRE A SECOND OPINION AT THE SELLERS REQUEST.
We do request that buyer inform us if their pup acquires any issue so that the pup’s lineages can be further investigated. 
Other 
Seller guarantees the pup described above to be of PET QUALITY. (All puppies are sold with limited registration unless otherwise agreed upon). Seller does not guarantee puppy as to size, weight, coat, ear stance, breed-ability, trainability, or disposition.
**Buyer is aware upon purchasing the puppy above, they are assuming full responsibility of the animal both physically and monetarily. Seller relinquishes full responsibility of said puppy upon releasing puppy to buyer. **Buyer is aware that puppy is NEVER to be relinquished to a rescue or animal shelter, hoarder, or large-scale breeding facility for any reason. 
**Buyer agrees to maintain appropriate core vaccinations, parasite control, and medical attention of puppy listed above. 
Buyer agrees to all terms and conditions as stated above upon signing this Agreement. Buyer furthermore attests to all information on this contract as being correct between buyer and seller signed below and executed in the State of Texas, County of Collin.
Any legal actions must be filed in Collin County, and State of Texas and buyer agrees to pay both buyer and seller legal fees if legal action should occur by either party.
